Looking For A Hearing Aid?

If You Are, We Can Help

Audiology patients come first

If you are unsure if you need a hearing aid, take our hearing tests . However, if you are shopping for a hearing aid, read on.

Where to Begin

An audiologist will need to perform a hearing test to determine if a hearing loss is present, and the degree to which it exists. If a hearing loss is present, you will need to follow up with an Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) doctor to obtain medical clearance for a hearing aid.

After authorization, you can schedule a hearing aid evaluation with an audiologist. Together, you will discuss hearing aid styles, amplification needs, and prices of hearing aids based on your particular needs for improving your communication with those around you. Get more information on styles of hearing aids.

What To Expect

Nearly everyone who is having difficulty hearing can be successfully fit with a hearing aid, regardless of the type or degree of their loss. However, successfully restoring your hearing depends on the severity and type of hearing loss, as well as the motivation level of the patient. A hearing aid may require several weeks of adjustment. Most patients see continued improvement in their hearing and comfort levels over several months. While a hearing aid will not eliminate all of the problems that hearing loss creates--or restore “normal” hearing--it will help to lessen communication difficulties.
